Mindfulness is when we step into the present moment, on purpose, and non-judgementally. Meditation is focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity to train attention and awareness.

Multiple Styles of Mindfulness and Meditation
We'll go over several styles of mindfulness and meditation that will include, but not be limited to, mindfulness and meditation through movement, music, art, breath work, and more. If you've ever struggled to meditate, felt like mindfulness and meditation just "didn't work for you", or have ever felt like you were "doing it wrong" - this course is for you.
When we slow down and step into the present moment more often, we're able to better observe what is going on around us, but also within us. Think, "stop and smell the roses" on a life scale. Mindfulness serves as a pause button in this fast-paced world we live in. In this course, as we begin to cultivate more moment-to-moment awareness, we'll also be diving into mindful awareness around our own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
How to Reduce Stress & Anxiety and Increase Well Being
Throughout the course, you'll learn how these practices are scientifically proven to reduce stress levels and how they bring both the mind and body out of the anxiety state we call "fight or flight mode". Along with this, we'll explore the natural side effects that come from a consistent mindfulness and meditation practice that enhance our well being which include but aren't limited to more gratitude, presence, and joy.
